By using StepCodex, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope & Eligibility
StepCodex provides a developer-oriented site and tools, including (but not limited to) a utilities toolbox and Issue Station. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
- You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms, or use with guardian consent.
- You must comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
2. Accounts & Google OAuth Sign-In
You can create/use an account via Google OAuth. You agree that we process necessary account information according to our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your session and devices.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support promptly.
- You may revoke StepCodex access at any time in your Google Account security settings; some features may stop working afterward.
3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
To protect users and service stability, you agree not to:
- Attack, scan, pentest, or attempt to bypass auth/access controls (without authorization).
- Abuse via automation, scraping, excessive requests, or disruption.
- Upload/distribute illegal, infringing, malicious code, or privacy-sensitive data.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or misuse our services/content.
4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
You understand tool outputs may be inaccurate or unsuitable; you must validate results before production use.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
5. Content, IP, and Feedback
StepCodex UI, branding, interaction design, and related content are protected by intellectual property laws.
You or the rights holder own the content you submit; you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the service.
- Feedback you provide may be used to improve the product (without compensation).
- If you believe content infringes your rights, email us with proof and relevant links; we will review and act as required by law.
6. Termination & Changes
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for security, compliance, or operational reasons.
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by applicable laws, considering your location and our operating jurisdiction to the extent not in conflict.
If a dispute arises, we encourage informal resolution first. If unresolved, either party may bring claims in a court of competent jurisdiction (unless otherwise required by law).
