Root Cause

I would like to see that the agent environment and the integrated terminal shell they should not be linked to a general configuration but should be more project oriented because if we are using WSL environment in the codex app then it should be using the agent environment and the integrated terminal as the WSL and when it's using windows native stuff we should be working with windows native PowerShell or command prompt.

extent analysis

TL;DR

Configure the agent environment and integrated terminal to use project-specific settings, allowing for seamless switching between WSL and Windows native environments.

Guidance

  • Review the Codex App Windows configuration to identify where the agent environment and integrated terminal settings are defined.
  • Investigate the possibility of creating project-specific configuration files or settings to override the general configuration.
  • Consider using environment variables or conditional statements to determine whether to use WSL or Windows native settings based on the project requirements.
  • Look into the Codex App documentation for any existing features or plugins that support project-oriented configurations.

Notes

The solution may require modifications to the Codex App configuration or the use of external tools to manage project-specific settings. Without further information on the Codex App's architecture and configuration options, a more detailed solution cannot be provided.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Implement project-specific configuration files or scripts to override the general configuration, allowing for flexible switching between WSL and Windows native environments. This approach enables users to work with different environments without modifying the underlying Codex App configuration.
