Bug Report

Platform: Android Claude app (Claude Code section within main Claude Android app)

Summary: Images do not transmit to the shared session when attached from Android, even though text syncs correctly in both directions.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a shared Claude Code session on both desktop (Linux CLI) and Android (via Claude Android app > Claude Code)
  2. On Android, attempt to attach an image via:
    • In-app camera capture
    • Gallery picker
    • Pre-existing attached images
  3. Send the message with the image attached

Expected Behavior

Image should appear in the shared session on both devices, same as text messages.

Actual Behavior

Text portion of the message arrives correctly. Image is not transmitted — the desktop/CLI session receives no image attachment. This happens consistently across all image attachment methods (camera, gallery, pre-attached images).

Environment

  • Android Claude app (main app with Claude Code section)
  • Desktop: Linux CLI Claude Code
  • Session type: Shared/synced session
  • Image sources tested: camera capture, gallery picker — both fail
