Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I am using a Mac with the M4 chip (Apple Silicon). When I install Claude Code using the Homebrew cask command, it installs the x86 (Intel) version instead of the native ARM64 version.

What Should Happen?

It should automatically detect the Apple Silicon architecture and install the native ARM64 version.
