Bug: Claude Code Desktop App sessions not tracked in Organization Analytics

Environment

• Claude app version: 1.9255.2 (Desktop)
• Claude Code usage: Via built-in Code tab in the Desktop app (not standalone CLI)
• OS: macOS
• gh CLI version: 2.92.0 — authenticated as yosephcsantos (active account)
• Organization plan: Team

Description

I am the owner of the Reserva INK organization on Claude. I use Claude Code exclusively through the Desktop app's built-in Code tab, not via the standalone claude CLI in the terminal. My sessions produce PRs with the 🤖 Generated with Claude Code footer, but my GitHub user (yosephcsantos) does not appear in the organization's analytics leaderboard at all — neither under Pull Requests nor Lines of Code.

What I've already verified

• Logged in to the Desktop app with the organization account (yo****@*****k, Team plan, orgName: Reserva INK)
• authMethod: claude.ai, apiProvider: firstParty, subscriptionType: team
• GitHub App (Claude) installed on rsv-ink org with All repositories access
• GitHub Analytics toggle enabled in claude.ai/admin-settings/claude-code
• rsv-ink GitHub organization selected in the analytics settings
• Email yo****@*****k added and verified on GitHub account yosephcsantos
• gh CLI installed (v2.92.0), authenticated as yosephcsantos, active account: true
• 18 merged PRs in rsv-ink/chat****, all containing 🤖 Generated with Claude Code, all merged within the last 10 days (well within the 21-day attribution window)

What I suspect

The analytics pipeline may only track sessions initiated via the standalone claude CLI in the terminal, and not sessions run through the Desktop app's built-in Code tab. If that's the case, this is either a missing feature or undocumented limitation that should be clarified.

What Should Happen?

Expected behavior

Sessions run through the Desktop app's Code tab should be tracked and attributed in the organization analytics leaderboard, the same way standalone CLI sessions are.

User `yosephcsantos` does not appear in the leaderboard despite 18 merged PRs with Claude Code attribution within the tracking window. Only appear when I code in terminal with Claude CLI.

2. Open PRs from those sessions — they will have the 🤖 Generated with Claude Code footer
3. Check claude.ai/analytics/claude-code → the user does not appear in the leaderboard

Contacted Anthropic support — they confirmed gh CLI and email setup requirements, all of which are satisfied. Support suggested filing a bug here if the issue persists.
