litellm - 💡(How to fix) Fix [Bug]: Claude Code with Sonnet 4.6 via Bedrock or Vertex AI are no longer working [2 pull requests]

What happened?

This is really unfortunate. We upgrade LiteLLM from 1.83.7 to 1.86.1 and since then we are unable to use Claude Code with Sonnet 4.6... this is due to this error:

Request Failed Error Code: 400 Message: {"message":"output_config.effort: Input should be 'low', 'medium', 'high' or 'max'"}

From what I can tell, the param "output_config" will get send to Bedrock and VertexAI, which both do not support this.

Using "additional_drop_params" is not working.

Is there a way for a really quick fix, it's truly super urgent....
