What's Wrong?

Subject: Cowork crashes + chat sync failure after Teams reinstall Description: After reinstalling Claude Desktop for new Teams account setup, experiencing two critical issues: Cowork crashes (~80% of sessions): Crashes immediately after sharing .md files in new Cowork conversations. Started right after Teams reinstall. Cowork worked fine in previous setup. Chat sync broken: 12 chats visible on desktop, only 1 syncing to mobile app. Both issues began after the Teams reinstall. Organization settings verified correct (code execution and network egress enabled). Desktop app stays open, computer doesn't sleep during sessions. System: Windows 11, Claude Desktop version 1.5354.0.0

What Should Happen?

I expect Claude Cowork to run the way it did in my personal Pro account which was basically flawless. I bumped up against limits like everyone else but no crashes like this. Very frustrated.

extent analysis

TL;DR

Reinstalling Claude Desktop and resetting the application settings may resolve the Cowork crashes and chat sync issues.

Guidance

  • Verify that the Teams account setup and organization settings are correctly configured after the reinstall, paying close attention to code execution and network egress permissions.
  • Check for any pending updates to the Claude Desktop app, as the issue may have been addressed in a later version.
  • Attempt to reproduce the issue with a different Teams account or a new Cowork conversation to isolate the problem.
  • Review the system event logs for any additional error messages or clues related to the Claude Code process exited with code 3221225477 error.

Example

No code snippet is provided as the issue is related to application configuration and setup.

Notes

The issue may be specific to the Windows 11 operating system or the 1.5354.0.0 version of the Claude Desktop app. Further investigation is needed to determine the root cause.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Reinstall Claude Desktop and reset the application settings, as this may resolve the issues without requiring an upgrade to a fixed version.
