What's Wrong?

After the most recent update to Claude Desktop, I am no longer able to use Code or Chat. If I launch on Cowork, it will let me use Cowork without crashing, but Chat or Code crash 5-10 seconds after switching to them. I have tried to diagnose the issue with online Claude, but have not been successful.

What Should Happen?

Claude should remain open and allow me to use the application.

Boot Claude and stay on Claude Code or Chat module. Wait 5-10 seconds. Boot Claude and switch to Cowork. Wait 5-10 seconds. Relaunch Claude and observe Cowork working.
