What's Wrong?

I redeemed a Claude Max 5x gift subscription on March 29, 2026. The redemption was confirmed successful. I had full Max access for approximately 7 days. Around April 5–6, 2026, my account was silently downgraded to the Free plan — with no email notification, no warning, and no action on my part.

Unlike some related reports where Billing still shows Max as active, in my case both Settings → Account and Settings → Billing show Free plan. The subscription has fully disappeared from my account.

What Should Happen?

Max 5x plan should be restored for the full remaining gift duration. Approximately 23 days of paid access ($~75 value) have been lost with no resolution path through current support channels.

Please have someone on the backend team verify the gift redemption status and manually restore the Max plan entitlement for this account.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Receive Claude Max 5x gift subscription link via email
  2. Redeem on claude.ai (web) — redemption confirmed
  3. Use Max features normally for ~7 days
  4. Account silently reverts to Free plan — no notification, no reason given

Expected Behavior

Account should remain on Claude Max 5x for the full gift duration (until approximately April 29, 2026).


Actual Behavior

Account shows Free plan everywhere — both in Account settings and Billing. All Max features are inaccessible. No active subscription visible.
