Bug Description Had to actually switch back to opus-4-6, opus 4.7 is just generating too much slop. Seems super verbose, 10 review/fix cycles still lead to many critical/major findings, neverending. Never experienced that with 4.6.

Environment Info

  • Platform: darwin
  • Terminal: iTerm.app
  • Version: 2.1.118
  • Feedback ID: 85e1b5a8-c08f-4eea-afd5-d3b682aed45d

extent analysis

TL;DR

Downgrade to opus-4.6 to potentially reduce the number of critical/major findings and verbosity issues experienced with opus 4.7.

Guidance

  • The issue seems to be related to the version of opus used, with opus 4.7 generating more verbose output and critical/major findings compared to opus 4.6.
  • To verify if downgrading resolves the issue, switch back to opus-4.6 and run the review/fix cycles again to check for improvements.
  • Consider reporting the findings and issues experienced with opus 4.7 to the relevant maintainers or support channels for further investigation and potential fixes.

Notes

The exact cause of the issue is unclear, and downgrading to opus-4.6 may not be a permanent solution, but it can serve as a temporary workaround to reduce the number of critical/major findings.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Downgrade to opus-4.6, as it has been reported to produce fewer issues and less verbose output compared to opus 4.7.
