Observation: Sentences pass surface validation but feel "off" to a native speaker. Errors cluster into 6 distinct categories. The model's own self-explanation when asked: training data is heavily English-weighted, internal patterns follow English structures, and Turkish output is generated by lexically substituting Turkish words onto English skeletons. Native intuition (the "this doesn't sound right" feeling) is missing.

Concrete examples (collected during a single session, 2026-05-07/08):

  1. Calque (literal English-to-Turkish translation): - Produced: "hidrasyon yapışık adam" (likely from "stay hydrated, dude") - Natural Turkish: "susuz kalma" — the produced phrase is meaningless; "yapışık adam" doesn't exist as an idiom.
  2. Imperative + object word order: - Produced: "Su da yudumla unutma" (reads as two separate imperatives) - Natural: "Suyu da yudumlamayı unutma"
