Root Cause

During setup, the LLM connection failed because I did not have Claude "Extra Usage" set up, and had to do some manual changes to finish setup. By the time the issue appeared, the setup was finished - aside from the discord connection.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start Openclaw 2026.5.12 with defaults on local TUI
  2. Select Anthropic / Claude 4.7, Discord
  3. Connect LLM through an installed Claude code on an account without Extra Usage enabled
  4. Attempt to use agent, then enable Extra Usage
  5. Have conversation with agent, some replies duplicated

Expected behavior

CLI conversation should have openclaw reply exactly one time to prompts.

Actual behavior

Openclaw occasionally responds twice (or more as reported in the previous issue, but I never experienced this) to prompts, repeating the same text, but sometimes formatting differently.
