What's Wrong?

After any tool call (Read/Edit/image), the assistant response is silently swallowed — no text is shown, but quota is consumed. Switching to Sonnet 4.6 resolves it immediately.

What Should Happen?

Text response should appear after tool use, as it does on Sonnet 4.6.

  1. Set model to claude-opus-4-8 via /model command. 2. Send a prompt that triggers a tool call (e.g., read a file or image). 3. Observe: no text response is displayed after the tool result. Quota is consumed.
