Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

The statusline context usage indicator displays 0% after exiting and re-entering Claude, but the /context command shows the actual usage (e.g., 42%). This creates confusion about true context consumption.

What Should Happen?

Statusline should accurately reflect context usage percentage matching /context command output.

Actual behavior:

  • Run /context → shows 83.4k/200k tokens (42%)
  • Statusline shows 0%
