That's a macOS Preview JPEG file icon — looks like a screenshot that didn't paste correctly. Were you trying to show me ***************? Can you paste the actual content or tell me what you're seeing?

The only way I can currently send images to Claude Code on macOs Sequoia 15.7.3 is via remote control from the Desktop app 🫤

What Should Happen?

Some months ago (maybe a whole year?!) I used to be able to paste images with Ctrl+V on the terminal on macOS and Claude would analyze them visually.

extent analysis

TL;DR

  • The issue can likely be mitigated by investigating changes in clipboard handling or image paste functionality between the current and previous versions of Claude Code.

Guidance

  • Review the differences in clipboard or image paste handling between the current version (2.1.71) and the last known working version to identify potential regressions.
  • Test image pasting using different methods (e.g., drag-and-drop, right-click paste) to see if the issue is specific to Ctrl+V.
  • Investigate if there are any macOS Sequoia 15.7.3 or iTerm updates that could be interfering with the image paste functionality.
  • Consider reaching out to the development team for more information on changes made between versions, especially regarding image handling and clipboard interactions.

Example

  • No specific code example can be provided without more details on the internal workings of Claude Code or the Anthropic API.

Notes

  • The lack of information on the last working version and specific error logs limits the ability to provide a precise fix.
  • The issue seems to be related to a regression, indicating that a previous version of Claude Code had the desired functionality.

Recommendation

  • Apply workaround: Given the information, it seems more feasible to look for workarounds such as using the remote control from the Desktop app or exploring alternative image sharing methods until the issue is resolved.
