Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

i'm paying for pro/max. after around 30% usage it pops a big screen above the chat window and says im close to usage limit and need to upgrade. even though im not even close.

i'm literally paying you guys $400/month stop the in-your-face popups that cannot be turned off. it's highly offensive.

and it's obvious that you're not actually worried about people who are going to extra usage, it's more like i bet you're seeing higher conversion rates as you annoy people.

What Should Happen?

leave me alone. let the user pick their own warning when their weekly limits are at x%

extent analysis

TL;DR

The user needs to configure or disable the usage limit warning popups in the Claude Code application.

Guidance

  • Review the Claude Code application settings to see if there's an option to customize or disable the usage limit warnings.
  • Check if the application provides a way to set a custom warning threshold, as suggested by the user.
  • Investigate if the issue is related to a misconfigured or outdated usage limit setting.
  • Consider reaching out to the Claude Code support team to report the issue and request assistance with disabling the popups.

Notes

The issue seems to be related to the application's behavior, but without more information about the application's settings or configuration, it's difficult to provide a more specific solution.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: The user should try to find a way to disable or customize the usage limit warnings in the application settings, as it seems to be the most straightforward solution to the problem.
