Bug Description

Running an agent -> subagent -> sub-subagent delegation task, the agents appear to be delegating properly, but attempting to monitor with /tasks or /agents does nothing

Steps to Reproduce

Environment: Ubuntu 26.04 container with tmux

  1. Run a hermes cli with a profile configured to delegate
  2. Give the agent a task
  3. Observe the agent perform the task, including delegations (some subagent-0 error messages came through, gpt timeout errors)
  4. attempt to use /tasks or /agents
  5. nothing happens

Expected Behavior

I expected /tasks or /agents to show me a live tree of running and recently-finished subagents

Actual Behavior

Nothing happened.
