Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I'm using Claude code with the updated desktop application. I'm liking the updated UI. I did notice that my todo lists using TodoWrite are not appearing in the task panel.

What Should Happen?

Intuitively, I would have expected them to be listed there, but let me know if not.

If they're not going to be in that panel, I would appreciate if you can add some other option to see open todos, similar to Ctrl+T in the CLI.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The TodoWrite lists not appearing in the task panel may be due to a missing integration or configuration issue, and a potential workaround could be to request an additional option to view open todos.

Guidance

  • Verify if TodoWrite is properly integrated with the Claude Code desktop application by checking the application's settings or documentation.
  • Check if there are any specific requirements or configurations needed for TodoWrite lists to appear in the task panel.
  • Consider requesting a feature to add an option to view open todos, similar to the Ctrl+T functionality in the CLI, as a potential workaround.
  • Investigate if the issue is specific to the Opus Claude Model or if it occurs with other models as well.

Notes

The issue lacks detailed error messages or logs, making it challenging to pinpoint the exact cause. The user is unsure if this is a regression, and there is no information on the last working version.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Request an additional option to view open todos, as the current integration or configuration may not support displaying TodoWrite lists in the task panel.
