Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I am a senior software architect myself. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to change the working folder under Code. I still haven't figured out. You fired the previous developer and hired a middle-schooler, haven't you? Did anyone test his code?

What Should Happen?

Easy to change the current working folder!!!!

Steps to Reproduce

Open the desktop app, go to the Code tab, try to change the working folder! You can't let a 12 year old program your app and then let him release it without anyone having a look!

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue can likely be resolved by re-examining the Code tab's interface for a potentially overlooked working folder change option or seeking guidance from the application's documentation.

Guidance

  • Review the Code tab's menu and settings to ensure the working folder change option is not hidden or relocated.
  • Check the application's documentation or help resources for instructions on changing the working folder, as the functionality may still be available but not immediately apparent.
  • Consider reaching out to the development team or support channel for clarification on the working folder change process, as the issue may be related to a change in the application's UI or functionality.
  • If the issue is confirmed to be a regression, attempting to find and use a previous version of the application where the functionality worked as expected might provide a temporary workaround.

Notes

The provided information lacks specific details about error messages or technical issues, making it challenging to provide a precise fix. The mention of a regression suggests that the functionality was previously available, implying that either the UI has changed or there's an issue with the current version.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Given the lack of technical details and the confirmation of this being a regression, the best course of action seems to be seeking a workaround, such as using a previous version of the application if possible, or awaiting further guidance from the development team.
