Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Active Claude Code threads are being auto-archived mid-session. I'm still working in the thread when it silently flips to archived and disappears from the active list. Similar to #57586 and #13677 but happens during an active session, not after navigating away.

What Should Happen?

Threads should only be archived when I explicitly archive them. Active sessions should stay active.

  1. Open Claude Code and start a session
  2. Send prompts and work in the thread normally

Additional Information

Disrupts workflow and loses session context. Happens repeatedly across sessions. I do not need archiving for my workflow ever.
