Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Ran /ultrareview with my last free run (3 of 3). Got back empty findings []. When I tried to re-run, server returned:

API Error: Server is temporarily limiting requests (not your usage limit) · Rate limited

Then:

Extra Usage credits exhausted. Top up to continue.

What Should Happen?

Failed runs (server rate limit, timeouts, etc.) shouldn't consume free quota.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue can be mitigated by waiting for the rate limit to expire or topping up extra usage credits to continue using the service.

Guidance

  • The error message "Server is temporarily limiting requests" indicates a rate limit issue, which may be resolved by waiting for a period of time before retrying the request.
  • The "Extra Usage credits exhausted" message suggests that the user has exceeded their available credits, and topping up may be necessary to continue using the service.
  • To avoid consuming free quota on failed runs, consider implementing a retry mechanism with exponential backoff to handle rate limit errors.
  • Verify the current rate limit and usage credits status through the Anthropics API documentation or support channels.

Notes

The provided information does not specify the exact rate limit or usage credits policy, so it is recommended to consult the official API documentation for more details.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Wait for the rate limit to expire or top up extra usage credits, as the root cause of the issue is related to rate limiting and usage credits exhaustion.
