What's Wrong?

An unknown symbol resembling some kind of ancient rune with N letter has appeared in the full version of Claude for Windows. It shows up in the main side menu next to the "New chat" entry on mouse hover (see screenshot).

There is no label, no tooltip, no explanation anywhere in the app that says what this symbol is or what it is supposed to mean. It just sits there.

This symbol does not appear in the mobile version of Claude. It does not appear in Claude Code either. It only shows up in the full version of software.

What Should Happen?

No unexplained foreign symbols should appear in the user interface. Anything that needs to be communicated to the user should be shown using characters and words from chosen language (English in my case)

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Claude for Windows (version 1.7196.3) from the official site.
  2. Launch the app.
  3. Open the main side menu by clicking the mobile pull-out menu icon in the top-left corner.
  4. Hover mouse over "New chat" entry
  5. An unknown rune-like symbol with N letter is rendered on the right side of the row.
