Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

My weekly Claude usage reset time appears to have changed unexpectedly after I used the newest Opus model.

What happened Before using the latest Opus model, my weekly reset time showed as Saturday at 10:00 AM. After using the new Opus model earlier today, the reset time changed to Thursday at 1:00 PM.

I also checked other Claude apps, and they now show the same Thursday at 1:00 PM reset time, so this appears to be an account-level change rather than something limited to one app.

Actual behavior The weekly reset time changed from Saturday 10:00 AM to Thursday 1:00 PM after using the newest Opus model.

Steps to reproduce

Use Claude normally with the existing weekly reset showing as Saturday at 10:00 AM Switch to and use the newest Opus model Check the usage/reset time afterward Observe that the weekly reset now shows Thursday at 1:00 PM Check other Claude apps and see the same updated reset time there

Notes

The change seems to have happened either immediately after using the newest Opus model or around Thursday. I had not seen this behavior before using the latest Opus model. I would like clarification on whether this is expected behavior, a change in how Opus usage windows work, or a bug.

What Should Happen?

Expected behavior I expected my weekly usage reset time to remain the same unless there was a clearly explained account or plan change.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The weekly reset time change after using the newest Opus model may be related to an unexpected behavior or bug in the Opus model integration.

Guidance

  • Verify if the reset time change is consistent across all Claude apps and platforms to confirm it's an account-level change.
  • Check the Opus model documentation or release notes for any changes to usage windows or reset times that might explain the behavior.
  • Test switching back to a previous Opus model or a different model to see if the reset time reverts to the original Saturday at 10:00 AM.
  • Reach out to the Anthropic API support or community forums to report the issue and ask for clarification on whether this is an expected behavior or a bug.

Example

No code snippet is provided as this issue seems to be related to the Opus model integration and not a specific code error.

Notes

The issue may be specific to the Opus model or the Anthropic API, and more information from the developers or documentation might be needed to resolve the issue.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Test switching back to a previous Opus model or a different model to see if the reset time reverts to the original Saturday at 10:00 AM, while waiting for further clarification or a fix from the developers.
