What's Wrong?

When I click new session it used to remember the folder i am working in why do I now have to reselect the folder every time I start a new session claude code desktop application?

What Should Happen?

When I click New session it should populate the folder select with the folder I am already working in like it used to do.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue can likely be resolved by checking the application's settings or configuration for an option to remember the last working folder.

Guidance

  • Review the Claude Code desktop application's settings to see if there's an option to remember the last working folder or to set a default folder.
  • Check if there are any changes in the application's behavior or settings that could be causing this issue, such as a new feature or update that may have altered the default behavior.
  • Try resetting the application's settings to their default values to see if this resolves the issue.
  • If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the application's support team or checking the application's documentation for more information on configuring the folder selection behavior.

Notes

The issue seems to be a regression, and the user is using the latest version of Claude Code. However, without more information about the previous version that worked correctly, it's difficult to provide a more specific solution.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: The user can try to find a workaround by checking the application's settings or configuration, as the issue may be related to a change in the default behavior or a new feature.
