What happened?

I have an Ultra sub. I changed my google account handle. logged out of CLI, logged in again and it is not Ultra anymore. Gemini Web App says Ultra, but CLI treats my account as free tier. I added another account to my family group and logged in with it and it is now ultra. I am not sure but antigravity may be in the same situation.

What did you expect to happen?

Not lose Ultra sub status.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue may be resolved by re-authenticating the Google account or checking the account's subscription status in the CLI.

Guidance

  • Verify the account's subscription status in the Gemini Web App to ensure it still shows as Ultra.
  • Try re-authenticating the Google account in the CLI to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Check if the issue persists after logging out and logging back in with the same account.
  • If the issue is specific to the CLI, try checking the subscription status using a different method, such as the Gemini Web App or mobile app.

Notes

The issue seems to be related to the account's subscription status not being recognized by the CLI after a Google account handle change. The fact that the Gemini Web App still shows the account as Ultra suggests that the issue may be specific to the CLI or authentication process.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Re-authenticate the Google account in the CLI, as this may resolve the issue without requiring any further changes.
