The “Codex for Chrome” feature appears in What’s New, dated 2026-05-07, but I don’t see any Chrome plugin under Plugins. Because of that, I can’t install or connect the Codex Chrome extension.

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Latest version — installed today morning, 2026-05-08. I don’t see an “About Codex” option in the Help menu to copy the exact version number.

What subscription do you have?

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

I’m using the latest Codex app on Windows with ChatGPT Plus.

The “Codex for Chrome” feature appears in What’s New, dated 2026-05-07, but I don’t see any Chrome plugin under Plugins. Because of that, I can’t install or connect the Codex Chrome extension.

The Chrome plugin is completely missing from the Plugins page.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Steps:

  1. Install the latest Codex app on Windows.
  2. Sign in with a ChatGPT Plus account.
  3. Open Codex.
  4. Open Help → What’s new.
  5. Confirm “Codex for Chrome” appears there.
  6. Go to Plugins.
  7. Chrome plugin is not listed or available to add.

What is the expected behavior?

The Chrome plugin should appear under Plugins so I can add it, install/connect the Chrome extension, and use Codex with Chrome.
