Root Cause

Hello, I have an active ChatGPT Plus plan, but in Codex CLI my account is being treated like a Free plan. Because of that, my usage limits run out very quickly, which does not match the plan I’m paying for. Please check my account status and fix this issue as soon as possible. I should have the correct access and limits associated with my Plus subscription. This looks like a billing or account-sync bug. Please investigate and resolve it.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The user's Codex CLI account is not being recognized as a Plus plan subscriber, despite having an active ChatGPT Plus plan, suggesting an account synchronization issue.

Guidance

  • Verify the user's subscription status on the ChatGPT website to ensure it matches the Plus plan.
  • Check the Codex CLI version (v0.121.0) for any known issues related to account synchronization or subscription recognition.
  • Investigate the uploaded thread (019daa64-132e-74c2-b17e-7dc8e22e7aae) for any clues about the account synchronization issue.
  • Consider reaching out to the ChatGPT support team to resolve the account status discrepancy.

Notes

The issue seems to be related to account synchronization between ChatGPT and Codex CLI, but without more information about the Codex CLI's account management system, it's difficult to provide a more specific solution.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Reach out to the ChatGPT support team to resolve the account status discrepancy, as it's likely a billing or account-sync bug that requires manual intervention.
