Steps to reproduce

1. Open Codex Desktop on macOS.
2. Open an extension/detail panel, for example a subAgent panel or file detail view.
3. Open multiple tabs in that panel.
4. Try to close a tab using a mouse.
5. Repeat the same close action using the macOS trackpad.

Actual behavior

Closing the tab with a mouse is difficult. The close target feels too small, too sensitive, or otherwise hard to hit reliably. With the trackpad, the same tab can be closed much more easily.

Expected behavior

The close affordance should be equally reliable with a mouse and trackpad. The close button / hit target should be large enough and forgiving enough for normal mouse usage.

Impact

This makes tab management frustrating for users who use an external mouse on macOS, especially when many subAgent or file-detail tabs are open.

Possible fixes

• Increase the close button hit area.
• Make the close affordance more visible and easier to target on hover.
• Support a secondary close interaction such as middle-click, keyboard shortcut, or contextual menu.
