What variant of Codex are you using?

CLI v0.129.0

What feature would you like to see?

Codex is now searching the web way more frequently and at unnecessary times #20988 Therefore, UX should be improved to prevent the constant flooding of the readable context, as it becomes filled with noise (repeated, low-information "Model made a search") -- so that we can still read the models actions and get a sense of what it is doing without needing constant scrolling through the junk-filler that 5.3-codex now profusely generates.

Therefore, I suggest something like "made 15 web searches" should appear instead of 15 individual web searches. Would be a lot cleaner looking and would strongly (but maybe not completely) reverse the disturbance to short-scrollback usecases.

Additional information

Model behavior seems to have changed, and did not get the accompanying UX improvements, and the experience of certain flows (no-scrollback TTY without tmux, for example) has become completely altered, as the models comments are filled in by the vacuous searches that now occur consistently with every model prompt.
