Follow-up to #82327 (closed as implemented on main).
The fix from PR #81887 (commit 1a5548203e09) is NOT in v2026.5.18 (50a2481). Verified by grepping the shipped Mattermost plugin JS — zero matches for onItemEvent, onToolStart, or preamble progress callbacks in any file under dist/extensions/mattermost/.
Codex harness turns on Mattermost show only the final answer with no tool progress draft lines. Config is correct per docs (streaming.mode: progress, streaming.progress.toolProgress: true). The code path simply does not exist in the shipped build.
