What variant of Codex are you using?

App

What feature would you like to see?

Currently, when selecting text from the output (of the LLM), I can reference this text. This is very useful if one needs to eg. answer a specific question (that Codex asked me).

But often in long debugging sessions, Codex asks me (in a long output) maybe three or so questions. But there is no reliable (consistent) way of answering each specific question, despite either copying the question to the input and putting my answer below or referencing the numbers (if there are any). But those solutions sometimes confuse the agent, especially if the answers are complex or require pasting some output (of commands or so).

Therefore, I propose a feature similar to the review comments where you can select a text (in the models output) and reference that part (this part is already a feature in codex) and then also add text to that specific reference, such that the agent can trace the answer back to the output it generated.
