I updated to the latest Codex version about 20 minutes ago, and immediately afterward the app stopped functioning properly.
Any prompt that requires Codex to execute or read multiple commands/paths gets stuck indefinitely, regardless of how long I wait.
I already restarted the application, but the issue persists.
I’m using:
- 5.5 Extra-High Fast
Additionally, the Context Usage icon/indicator (the one that showed usage before compacting) has disappeared after the update.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Update Codex from the previous version to 26.519.2081.0
- Run any prompt that requires Codex to read multiple paths or execute multiple read operations simultaneously
What is the expected behavior?
Codex should process these prompts normally, as it did before the update.
