What issue are you seeing?

In Codex Desktop on Windows, I set: Settings > General > Default open location = Default app

However, the top-right open-target dropdown does not include Default app as an option. It only lists specific apps such as editors, terminals, WSL, etc.

This makes the current target difficult to understand because the global setting is configured to Default app, but the visible per-session/per-workspace selector cannot represent or select that same target.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Open the top-right open-target dropdown.

The dropdown does not show Default app, even though Settings > General > Default open location is set to Default app.

What is the expected behavior?

The top-right open-target dropdown should include Default app as an explicit option when Settings > General > Default open location supports it.

This would make it clear which target is active and allow users to choose the same behavior from the dropdown.
