message after Claude terminal starts

Section/Topic

the message

Current Documentation

when starting a new Claude terminal there is a message "Install the PyCharm plugin from the JetBrains marketplace".

What's Wrong or Missing?

  1. Wrong IDE name — says "PyCharm" even when running inside PhpStorm (or any other JetBrains IDE)
  2. Already-installed detection missing — the prompt appears even when the plugin is active and the IDE integration is clearly working

Suggested Improvement

  1. It should say something like "Install the Claude Code plugin from the JetBrains Marketplace."

  2. Claude Code should detect the active IDE connection and suppress that prompt.

Impact

High - Prevents users from using a feature
