After the agentic changes to the code, the "Edited N files" UI status only shows lines added, but not lines removed for the file diff.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Make Codex alter the code in a way that removes some lines
2. Observe the UI status only shows lines added

What is the expected behavior?

The red number for lines removed should not be zero.
