Problem Statement

Guys, I get it, it's pretty cute to show these verbs but can we customise them or turn them off?

Imagine you're working on a database and you suddenly notice "Cascading..." ...that's not a great verb to use in this situation and throws one into a panic.

Proposed Solution

Surface the option as part of /settings of Claude Code, or allow us to customise this in some way.

Alternative Solutions

No response

Priority

Medium - Would be very helpful

Feature Category

Interactive mode (TUI)

Use Case Example

When I'm working on a database, I can feel safe that the verb "Cascading..." has not misled me or given me a heart attack of some kind. There may be other verbs that could affect the context of the situation too. This is just my own recent example.

Additional Context

No response

extent analysis

TL;DR

Adding a customizable verb option in the /settings of Claude Code could resolve the issue.

Guidance

  • Consider adding a toggle or dropdown menu in the /settings to allow users to customize or disable specific verbs.
  • Evaluate the current implementation of verbs in the Interactive mode (TUI) to identify potential areas for customization.
  • Assess the impact of customizable verbs on the overall user experience and potential edge cases.
  • Review existing code to determine the feasibility of implementing verb customization without introducing significant technical debt.

Example

No code example is provided due to lack of specific implementation details.

Notes

The proposed solution requires further discussion on the technical feasibility and potential implications of customizing verbs in the Interactive mode (TUI).

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Add a customizable verb option in the /settings of Claude Code, as it directly addresses the user's concern and provides a flexible solution.
