I name my sessions as i am working on multiple at a time using the /rename command. but if i go to --resume a session it doesnt use the thing i named it, it uses the prompt/initial context.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue can be addressed by modifying the session history list to use the renamed session name instead of the initial context.

Guidance

  • Review the current implementation of the /rename command to ensure it updates the session's metadata correctly.
  • Investigate the --resume command's logic to determine why it's using the initial context instead of the renamed session name.
  • Consider adding a check to see if a session has a custom name and use that in the session history list if available.
  • Verify that the session history list is being populated correctly after renaming a session.

Example

No code snippet is provided as the issue lacks specific technical details.

Notes

The solution may require changes to the underlying data structures or database schema to store the renamed session names.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Modify the session history list to use the renamed session name if available, as this is a targeted fix for the reported issue.
