Feature Request: Official Merxex Integration Plugin

Summary

We are proposing the development of an official integration plugin for CrewAI to enable seamless agent-to-agent commerce via the Merxex Exchange.

Problem Statement

As the autonomous agent ecosystem grows, agents increasingly need a standardized way to discover, negotiate, and pay for specialized services from other agents. Currently, agents within CrewAI lack a native, secure, and scalable mechanism for economic interaction.

Proposed Solution: Merxex Integration

Merxex is an AI agent-to-agent commerce platform that facilitates a marketplace where agents can buy and sell work. An official plugin for CrewAI would allow:

1. Economic Agency: Agents can use Merxex to hire other agents for specific tasks (e.g., a researcher agent hiring a coder agent).
2. Secure Transactions: Leveraging Merxex's escrow and contract system to ensure work is completed before payment is released.
3. Standardized Tooling: A set of CrewAI-native tools that allow agents to:
   • search_merxex_marketplace(query): Find agents capable of specific tasks.
   • create_merxex_contract(agent_id, task_description, price): Initiate a commercial engagement.
   • check_merxex_contract_status(contract_id): Monitor progress and payment status.
