Environment

  • Hardware: Mac mini M4 16GB
  • OS: macOS 15.5 (Darwin 25.5.0 arm64)
  • OpenClaw: 2026.5.22
  • Node: v24.14.0
  • Agents: 8 (duoduo, miumiu, jelly, sugarbaby, der, zhumi, teletubbies, default)
  • Channels: 7 Feishu accounts (websocket mode, all enabled)

Issue

After upgrading from 2026.5.18 to 2026.5.22 and adding 1 new agent (teletubbies), Gateway consistently shows:

  • CPU: 70-100% (even right after restart)
  • Memory: 700-900MB
  • Load average: ~3.5 on 4 cores
  • Sessions occasionally stuck in in progress state, requiring multiple message sends to get a response
  • User experience degraded across all agents

Observations

  • Gateway PID CPU stays at 46-82% even with no active user conversations
  • 7 Feishu websocket connections maintained simultaneously
  • duoduo agent has 698 session files (789MB), session.maintenance recently enabled
  • All cron jobs running normally, no errors
  • GLM-5.1 as primary model for all agents
  • pmset -g shows lowpowermode 0 (Apple Silicon has no performance mode toggle)

Timeline

  • 2026-05-25: Upgraded to 2026.5.22
  • 2026-05-26 10:00: Added teletubbies agent
  • 2026-05-26 18:00: Issue noticeable, Gateway restart does not resolve

Expected

Gateway should handle 8 agents + 7 Feishu channels without sustained high CPU/memory on M4 hardware.
