Codex app doesn't support /compact like the GUI does. I prefer the GUI in every other respect, but the ability to trigger a /compact manually is critical before starting a long+delicate operation, compaction in the middle inevitably causes quality drop issues.

Try to /compact in the GUI, doesn't work
