What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Version 26.506.31004 • Beta (2603)

What platform is your computer?

remote: Linux 6.1.166-197.305.amzn2023.x86_64 x86_64 x86_64, local: Darwin 23.1.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Local sessions have the shiny new Chrome plugin -- remote sessions refuse to use it.

I just spun my wheels for half an hour on 5.5 xhigh.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Literally just try to open a local browser from the remote session through the desktop app.

What is the expected behavior?

Chrome opens locally, user signs in, Codex passes auth to remote and runs playwright tests using this auth. Stupid simple. Codex VS Code extension can do it, but the official OpenAI desktop app can't.
