ollama - 💡(How to fix) Fix Phone number verification does not accept non‑US numbers (Germany) – cannot register for paid plan

What is the issue?

Hello Ollama team,

I am based in Germany and would like to become a paying customer to access higher limits and all models. However, the registration form currently rejects German mobile numbers. Even when I try to sign in via GitHub OAuth, the flow still requires a phone number, but only US formats are accepted.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to https://ollama.com/register
2. Enter a valid German mobile number (e.g. +49 171 …)
3. Form validation fails – only US numbers are accepted.
4. Try GitHub login → still redirected to phone verification step.

Expected behavior:
International phone numbers (E.164 format, e.g. +49…) should be accepted for account verification and subscription.

Actual behavior:
Registration is blocked for non‑US users. As a result, I cannot upgrade to a paid plan.

Impact:

• Prevents international customers from subscribing.
• Blocks access to Ollama Cloud features outside the US.

Environment:

• Date: May 2026

Please fix the phone number validation to support international formats. This is critical for non‑US customers who want to pay for Ollama Cloud.
