If I use the keyboard shortcut to pin a session and then quit and relaunch the application, the session doesn’t actually remember that it was pinned. Unless I explicitly click on the pin icon, the application doesn’t remember that it was pinned and doesn’t display under the pinned section.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Use keyboard shortcut to pin a session. Quit and relaunch. Does not show under Pinned.
