What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.429.61741 (2429)

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

Mac OS Tahoe

What issue are you seeing?

Not every user is using Codex app in full screen. When the app browser window is narrow, the stop button next to the prompt input area is at the edge of browser window. Every time when i wanna stop Codex working mid-prompt, the mouse cursor at the stop button = at the edge of browser window = triggering Progress/Branch details tooltip box = not only i don't need that tooltip box to popup , i can't click the stop button too. IT IS SO ANNOYING AND NOT NECCESSARY, a stupid UI re-design

What steps can reproduce the bug?

just use the Codex app in narrow window size

What is the expected behavior?

extent analysis

TL;DR

Adjusting the window size or using a different layout might mitigate the issue with the stop button being overlapped by the Progress/Branch details tooltip box.

Guidance

  • Try increasing the window width to see if the stop button becomes accessible without triggering the tooltip.
  • If possible, explore different layouts or UI settings within the Codex app to find a configuration where the stop button is not at the edge of the window.
  • Consider providing feedback to the Codex app developers about this UI issue, as it seems to be causing frustration and is not the intended user experience.

Notes

The provided information does not specify if there are any existing settings or updates that could directly fix this issue, so these suggestions are aimed at finding a temporary workaround.

Recommendation

Apply workaround, as there is no clear indication of a fixed version or direct solution available within the provided information.
