What issue are you seeing?

My Codex dashboard shows contradictory-looking quota state:

  • 5 hour usage limit: 100% remaining
  • Weekly usage limit: 0% remaining, resets Apr 28, 2026 7:21 PM

Yesterday my weekly usage was not at zero (at about 50%, I had loads left so I wasn't paying attention throughout the day). It appeared to drop suddenly to zero despite only medium usage in between.

Separately, I previously had unused Codex credits. Those credits now appear to be gone, but the Codex usage dashboard does not show usage that explains where they went.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

extent analysis

TL;DR

The contradictory quota state and sudden disappearance of credits may be related to an unexpected update or issue with the Codex usage tracking system.

Guidance

  • Review the Codex usage dashboard and account history to see if there are any hidden or unreported usage patterns that could explain the sudden drop in weekly usage limit and credits.
  • Check for any notifications or emails from Codex regarding changes to the usage tracking system or account updates that may have caused the discrepancy.
  • Verify that the account email and plan details are correct and up-to-date, as this may affect the accuracy of the usage tracking.
  • Consider reaching out to Codex support for further assistance in resolving the issue and recovering any missing credits.

Notes

The issue may be specific to the user's account or a temporary glitch in the Codex system, and more information from Codex support may be needed to fully resolve the issue.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Reach out to Codex support for assistance, as the issue appears to be account-specific and may require manual intervention to resolve.
