Evolve memory into inspectable context governance so users can see, control, redact, and benchmark what Hermes remembers and recalls.

Proposed scope

• Add a memory inspector showing stored items, source, provider, and reason for storage when available.
• Support per-session memory opt-in and opt-out controls.
• Add memory redaction rules.
• Preview recalled memory before injection where the UX allows it.
• Attach source links, scope, expiration, and confidence metadata to memory items where providers support it.
• Add a benchmark suite for memory provider behavior.

Acceptance criteria

• Users can inspect memory state without provider-specific tooling.
• Memory injection is auditable and controllable.
• Provider behavior can be compared with repeatable fixtures.
