What did you expect to happen?

Description: I am experiencing significant terminal usability issues while using Gemini CLI on Termux.

  1. Autoscroll Hijacking: When the agent is in the "thinking" phase (sending intent or progress updates), the CLI forces the terminal to scroll to the bottom. This makes it impossible to read previous history or type a new prompt without the screen constantly jumping.
  2. Redraw Flickering: The frequent UI updates during the thinking phase cause high-frequency flickering in the Termux terminal emulator.

Requested Fix: Please provide an option to disable real-time "thinking" updates (a quiet mode) or optimize how the CLI updates the terminal to prevent forced scrolling and flickering on mobile terminal emulators
