How would you like to use vllm

I would like to run the latest vllm-router using docker, for productivity and reproducibility.

On https://hub.docker.com/r/vllm/vllm-router/tags the last published nightly was nightly-20260330-4f56d66 (one month old) and the unpinned nightly-x86_64 image. I would like to use the cutting-edge version of the router.

Is this expected?

If it is, what is the recommended way to get official nightly release of the router?

extent analysis

TL;DR

The user should utilize the nightly-x86_64 image to get the latest version of the vllm-router.

Guidance

  • Check the Docker Hub page for vllm/vllm-router to see if there are any newer nightly images available.
  • Use the nightly-x86_64 image to get the latest version of the router, as it is not pinned to a specific version and will likely be updated more frequently.
  • Verify that the nightly-x86_64 image is compatible with your system architecture.
  • Consider reaching out to the vllm maintainers or community to ask about the expected update frequency for nightly images.

Notes

The provided information does not include details about the user's system or any error messages they may be encountering, so it is difficult to provide more specific guidance.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Use the nightly-x86_64 image to get the latest version of the router, as there is no clear indication of when a new nightly image will be published.
