What's Wrong?
Claude Desktop becomes completely unresponsive when opening the Cowork tab. The app hangs with a spinning beach ball and requires a force quit. On subsequent launches, the crash handler (chrome_crashpad_handler) itself crashes immediately with an EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) on the main thread, preventing the app from recovering.
What Should Happen?
Claude Desktop should launch normally, and the Cowork tab should either load successfully or fail gracefully without freezing the entire application or crashing the crash handler.
