Preflight Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Claude Code in terminal no longer tells me what account I'm logged into. Makes things impossible for me with multiple accounts paid by different orgs. This is moving backwards people.

What Should Happen?

When I start Claude I should se which account/subscription I'm currently using. This is critical basic info.

extent analysis

TL;DR

The issue can likely be resolved by checking the account information display settings or configuration in Claude Code version 2.1.117.

Guidance

  • Verify that the account information is being fetched correctly by checking the API responses from the Anthropic API.
  • Check the Claude Code configuration files or settings to see if there's an option to display the current account or subscription information.
  • Try resetting the Claude Code configuration to its default state to see if the issue persists.
  • If the issue is indeed a regression, try to find the last working version and compare its configuration or code with the current version to identify the potential cause.

Notes

The issue lacks specific error messages or logs, making it difficult to provide a more precise solution. Additionally, the last working version is not specified, which could help in identifying the regression cause.

Recommendation

Apply workaround: Since the issue is a regression and the last working version is not specified, it's recommended to try workarounds such as checking the configuration settings or resetting the configuration to its default state.
